A loft conversion turns space you’re already paying to heat and maintain into a proper room, without extending your home’s footprint.

Turning Your Loft Into Usable Space

A loft conversion is one of the most cost-effective ways to add a bedroom, office or bathroom without extending your home’s footprint. We offer a complete end-to-end service managing every phase from initial design and planning through to final completion. As a family-run business with over 30 years of hands-on experience, we handle all aspects in-house, including structural work, roofing, electrics, plumbing and finishes.

We are based in Newcastle-under-Lyme and work across Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent and Cheshire. Every conversion is built to current building regulation standards, including fire safety and staircase access, and we take care of the planning or permitted development check on your behalf.

How We Manage Your Loft Conversion

We start with a site visit to check your roof structure, head height and access, and to talk through what you want the space for. From there we handle the design, the planning or permitted development check, and building regulations approval, before moving on to the build itself. Structural work, roofing, electrics and plumbing are all managed in-house, so you’re not left coordinating separate tradespeople.

  • All trades managed in-house, from groundworks to finishing
  • Planning and building regulations handled on your behalf
  • Built to current building regulation standards throughout

Loft Conversion related FAQ’s

Do you handle planning permission and building regulations?2026-09-22T09:26:52+00:00

Yes. We manage the planning or permitted development process, along with building regulations approval, as part of our service.

Do I need planning permission for a loft conversion?2026-09-22T09:44:07+00:00

Not always. Many loft conversions fall under permitted development, subject to a volume limit of 40 cubic metres for terraced houses and 50 cubic metres for semi-detached and detached houses, provided no part of the conversion goes above the existing roofline. This depends on your property and whether you’re in a conservation area, so we check this for you before design work begins.

What areas do you cover?2026-09-22T10:08:16+00:00

We build across Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent and Cheshire, and are based in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

What can I use a loft conversion for?2026-09-22T09:44:46+00:00

Common uses include an extra bedroom, a home office, a bathroom, or additional storage with proper access. We’ll talk through what works best for your home during the initial consultation.

How long does a loft conversion take?2026-09-22T09:44:26+00:00

Timescales depend on the size and type of conversion. We’ll give you a realistic timeline once we’ve surveyed the property and agreed the design.
